Piece of the month
September 2008
I apoligize to
those of you who are just chompin at the bit every month to read
my monthly experiences. Since May, I kind of let the ball drop
on this page. But...here I am. I just finished a piece that I
spent 96 hours engraving. It's a piece that I've had in mind for
a year now, and finally got inspired. I have a show in the Museum
of the Island in Cozumel in February 2009. This will be saved
for that show, but meanwhile I'll show it on the internet.

Now let's just
hope that hurricane Gustav starts going north.
May 2008
This month I'll
show a lamp that is my favorite from the recent past. There's
a really nice working quality of the brown over white combination.
April 2008
Sorry for posting
late this month, but I was caught up in a new idea, and time passed
me by. The good news is I can show you the new idea, although
it still evolving.
It's been a lot
of fun.
Its measures 16"
x 20". As I said, it's evolving daily. We'll see where it
leads, but I am liking it a lot so far.
March 2008
Springtime in
Cozumel.
After a month
of admiring the lobster-claw halaconias that are blooming in my
front yard...
I decided to paint
them

February 2008
After so many
years of engraving eagle rays, it finally occured to me to do
the following...
it's a candle
piece. Here is a photo when it's lit...
I also want to
invite you to check out the vessels I made at the Museum of Glass
last June.
To see them, go
to my Hand Blown Vessels page, or just click
here.
January 2008
Happy New Year!
I will start the
year showing my first piece made in 2008.
If you want to
see past year's "piece of the month" pages, scroll to
the bottom of the page for the links.
This lamp is called
"Seahorses blue".
